Heritage:
Avis Cushing and her mother Marjorie Huckins originally pieced these colorful cotton blocks in the 1970s as part of a long-running tradition of crafting fundraiser quilts for the Methodist Church in Warren and making wedding gifts for loved ones
Restoration:
The Hand-Off: Avis's daughter, Donna Campbell (WHS President), gifted the original heirloom to Luane Clark (WHS Trustee).
The Redesign: Luane carefully deconstructed the large, tied bedspread-size quilt to salvage the 50-year-old blocks.
The Yield: Remade into two smaller, modern throw-size quilts—one for this raffle and one kept as a personal heirloom.
Tickets: $2 each or 6 for $10
